![]() Chick-fil-a was created by a Christian and there have been multiple accounts where the government has tried to get rid of the business. You said how Christianity is getting into the government more and more these days, when it's clearly not. I never said I won the argument, I was correcting a mistake in grammar, but you would know that if you read the whole thing. ![]() I literally just said EVERYONE's a sinner (according to religion), so I never even said that I was Mr. There was no argument and you didn't need to "defend" yourself since you were not attacked. ![]() I do find religious folks rude when they lump the non-religious or those of other religions in with their own line of thinking and call everyone a sinner or call everyone an abomination or a bad person or some other insult. I do know that humans are prone to delusional thinking and delight in making things up to explain the previously unexplainable. I don't think religious folks are stupid, i know many religious folks that aren't stupid. Earth will end, maybe due to human stupidity, but more likely it will just extinguish as the sun blows up. You can believe what you want but you cross a line when you start calling other people sinners. If you're going to talk deities, at least go the pantheistic route, which makes a lot more sense than abrahamic deities. Do explain how an anthropomorphic deity poofed the earth into existence. For all we know we are simply part of a vast multiverse. There is much that is not yet understood in the world of physics, the universe may very well have erupted out of another universe. Sin is only an opinion, it exists nowhere else but the minds of those that wish it to exist, much like deities. To some jews it is a sin to trim beard hair and eat pigs. To some christians it is a sin for people to be gay or marry people of different races. To some muslims is a sin for women to learn to read or go to school. Sin is but an opinion that changes with a religion's denomination and with each individual. Calling people sinners because they don't think like you is ten thousand miles of free range rude. Not everyone on Imgflip is from the US so the first amendment jazz doesn't necessarily apply. They make some very valid points about the bible, the biblical deity, and how the humans of this planet view both: ![]() I recommend a good group of writings from Mark Twain, they are called Letters From Earth and are a delight to read. Even if your deity existed, you would not know what your deity though. Telling people they are going to go to hell or will "bow later" after saying you love all people is a subtle form of judgement. God is different to every christian, he is portrayed as a total sadist by many, as a bigot by more, and as a good loving thing by quite a few less. To masturbate is a sin, to work on sabbath days is a sin.Ĭhristians would be a whole lot better if they kept their mouths shut about god but instead simply talked strictly of Jesus and strictly of Jesus' teachings. Did you know it is a sin to wear mixed fabric clothing according to the judeo-christian bible? Did you know it is a sin to be clean shaven? To eat shell fish, crustaceans, and other bottom dwelling sea life is a sin in the bible. You claim they are sinners and must like sinning, but a sin is an opinion that changes the world over depending on the religion and the various denominations of the religion. You are judging people to be sinners though you do not know them. ![]()
